Well, from this privilage, it shows that white males can get away with more things without being classifed or insulted. The thing is though, in this day and age, no one would insult someone for being loud, while if your being aggresive, a male might not be called a bitch, but neither would a woman be called a dick. (Excuse my language.) It's an outdated privilage even if it ever was a problem.
I agree, that how we carry ourselves and how we express our opinions has changed, as we are more free to be opinionated, you rightly note that it is the 'white males' to whom this privilege extends fully. But I do feel that women who are outspoken and bold, are still seen as unfeminine or difficult, while men who are reticent are seen as unmasculine. Do you think 'bitch' and 'dick' carry the same connotation?
